The youtube video showing this problem is in the "URL" field. Are you using a computer with an Intel graphics chip? In that case, please update your drivers: it is a bug in Intel's drivers, not in Krita. (In reply to Boudewijn Rempt from comment #2) > Are you using a computer with an Intel graphics chip? In that case, please > update your drivers: it is a bug in Intel's drivers, not in Krita. I'm using Macbook Air. With intel HD Graphics 4000 yes, but in the https://krita.org/download/krita-desktop/ it said that only windows versions are affected. I'll check if it's driver issue. On my mac I've updated to the latest driver. How to check if it is really a driver issue? Hm... On OSX, I'm just not sure myself... I'm not even sure what chip is in the old mac mini I use for builds... I'm afraid that there's nothing for it but to disable opengl for now. *** Bug 348271 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Just so you know, I have downloaded the Krita Beta versions from v2.8.91.1, v2.8.93.0 - v2.9.4.5 v2.8.91.1 worked at first but then when I was using it to draw, the canvas reverted back to its original issue, and then when I turned OpenGL off, used it a bit, and then turned it back on the canvas froze. I then continued to test the rest of versions previous to this one till they worked. Which it worked at the next one down: v2.8.80.3. Even if I didn't help much with the developers, I hope I helped anyone who needs Krita to work on Mac with the canvas: use Krita v2.8.91.1 or pervious versions here, http://files.kde.org/krita/osx/ And for the developers, I would love to help further, but I am not skilled enough yet at coding to be of assistance. I am in college for computer science and am willing to get involved (future Google Summer of Code, perhaps?) and at least learn more about it so I can help when I have more knowledge. Where can I find more information on helping out/developing??? Hi, We've got some getting started info here: https://krita.org/get-involved/developers/ ! I've also managed to reproduce this issue now. This "works" in 3.0 pre-alpha; however we've still got a bunch of work to do to implement a QPainter engine that supports Apple's emasculated opengl drivers. We're working on that, but, to be honest, this issue is Apple's fault. |
