I am trying to have less dialogs on my desktop and for IM, group chats are a saver. I have used Pidgin in the past and not so much of kopete. I want to enable group chat by default (meaning the dialogs grouped into one single dialog). 

I enable it on the settings but I still get new dialogs everytime new users msg me. I do see the tabulation on the dialog, but I cant drag and drop or right click on them to merge the dialogs.

Create new dialogs

Expected Results:  
Create a new tab on the latest dialog.

Would be nice to have a drag-n-drop and context menu options for the dialogs.

You can configure it in Configure --> Behaviour --> Chat. There is menu with 5 different modes for groupping chat window.

Drag-n-drop feature to move tabs between windows is not implemented.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
