Sentry Crash Report:

Description DC Turner 2015-03-07 04:16:43 UTC
This issue presents itself in a few ways, here are some examples;

1) When using the brush tool, holding the eye dropper key is sometimes unresponsive.

2) After switching to the assistant rulers tool, my first clicks are ignored when trying to do things like add a new assistant, or remove / hide an existing assistant.

^ These situations can consistently be resolved by clicking elsewhere in the UI, then back to the canvas OR by hitting UNDO.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a Vanishing point assistant.

2.Switch to the brush tool and draw something.

3. Switch back to the Assistant Rulers tool and try to interact with your vanishing point. I am unable to hide, delete or move the assistant.

4. Open the popup colour picker OR click anywhere else in the UI.

5. You should *now* be able to interact with the Vanishing Point assistant.

Hi,

Thanks for your report. I haven't managed to reproduce it, my mac is totally unresponsive most of the times :-)

Hi!

Could you try whether the 3.0 pre-alpha works better for you?

Hi there,

Difficult to say if this particular issue has been affected as pretty much everything is unresponsive in 3.0 on my Mac (OSX 10.11.3) hehe :D

I can't create anything with the assistant tool, for example, so I'll wait until the next version.

Here are a couple of unrelated issues that I have noticed;

1) For the first time ever, I'm able to see and use the right-click quick menu. This is great

Was that with the beta or the final release? With the final release, I have no problems with responsiveness or working with assistants. I test on a mac mini from 2010 with Mavericks and a 2015 Macbook pro with El Capitan.

In any case, a general "nothing works" is a bit too generic to be useful as a bug report. With 3.1, I hope that all problems will be resolved.
