menu search should display best results at bottom - closer to the search field - for better usability.
it's a pain to navigate search results with keyboard and/or mouse now.

Note you can press arrow down to get to the top of the list.

Good point, but it isn't intuitive to do so for me.
I still prefer closer results for the mouse, though.

Looks like this wish is resolved with 'Align search results to bottom' checkbox in settings window

Not really - the results are aligned to bottom, but the "best" are still on the top of the list - and require a lot of keyboard/mouse navigation to reach.

An alternative option is to move the search field to the top.
