Given a chosen region and clicking the "Detailed Settings" box results in changing the example text but note that the ungreyed detailed settings are all set to "No change". So one would expect the example text also not to change (i.e. not to change the beviour of the region unless detailed settings are actually changed).
I tested a few regions, all are effected. The example text seems always to change to the same settings when "detailed settings" is activated.

The Examples pick up the current combobox settings, it's a preview. "No change" does not mean it won't change, but that it's not changed from the default. This behaves as expected, I just tested it.

Shouldn't the sensible default be the setting from the region (which has to be set) rather than a entire arbitrary locale?
