We need a fast way to move layers to the top or bottom of the layer stack. Now only way is to grab and drag move them or click the move layer icons many times.

Proposed method would be to Shift+click the move icons to send the layers to top or bottom.

+1 for this feature.

i have also proposed for having shortcuts to move layer one step above and bottom.

I proposed ctrl + ]  for up and ctrl + [ for moving down, for moving layer extreme top and bottom of layer stack, we can make it CTRL+Shift +[ and CTRL + Shift + ] or shift click like David suggested.
