Description wepost 2015-02-05 14:55:04 UTC
After the last update (from 14.12.0 to 14.12.1) yesterday I am not able to open my existing wallets. I only get the message "read error -9". I am sure the given password is correct. I did not change it in the last months.
Before the update I could open the wallets without any problems.
The default wallet (for mail passwords) works normal.
The current used KDE version is 4.14.4

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Login to KDE
2.Start KWalletManager
3.Try to open existing Wallet

Actual Results:
I get the error message 'read error -9 "Perhaps the password is not correct."'

Expected Results:
Open the wallet

I'd like to better understand. You have two wallets on your system. On is automatically opened by the system when starting the session. The other is occasionally opened by you via the kwalletmanager. Did I get it right ? If yes, which one stopped working?

Yes, you get it right.
The automatically opened wallet works probably. The other one is broken.
I got two systems with the same OS and KDE. And on both systems it is the same.
After the downgrade of kdebase4-rumtime to 4.14.3-4.9-x86_64 the automatically
opened wallet get broken (error -9 read error) but the other wallet could be opened.
After that i
- made a backup from the occasionally opened - an now working - wallet
- made a update of kdebase4-runtime
- create then a new wallet
- imported the backup
Now i've got the two working wallets back.
So i hope my information is usefull.--
Mit freundlichen Grüßen

F. Laurenz
