It is kind of a stopper for CJK users. For Korean it's a fairly easy fix by normalizing to Unicode NFD (decomposing blocks into combining characters) and checking the length again. I'm still mulling what a good way to handle the Japanese syllabaries might be. Additionally, this is a problem pattern that's common across KDE, so it would be good to place a solution in one of our lower-level framework libraries.
