Description felix74501 2015-02-02 20:23:08 UTC
Hi,

I just posted a topic on KDE forums and einar adminstrator advised me to post a bug report.

Instead of having that ( http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2015/06/1422877231-test15.png ) when "personalized fonts" and HTML options are enabled, I would like to have that ( http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2015/06/1422877238-test16.png ), but with the bold, italic and underlined text displaying. I have there only, for example for bold, *test* as you can see on the screenshot.

The problem is that I don't want my default font and default font size to be changed because I enable HTML option, I just would like to be able to see "basics" text modifications (e.g. bold, italic).

Is it supposed to be a bug?

Regards,

Sylve

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a mail formated in HTML, with bold text, etc.
2. Try to enable/disable HTML option, and maybe "personalized fonts" even I see no difference.
3. Check the difference between the mail when HTML is enabled/disabled.

Actual Results:
When HTML is enabled, the font is changing and the size too.
When HTML is disabled, I have my default font but bold, italic text is displaying like (for bold) *test* instead of being in e.g. test in bold.

Expected Results:
Display bold, italic, underlined text without changing my default font and default font size used to display on non-HTML messages.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
