Description steveL 2015-01-31 00:36:59 UTC
The kate site http://kate-editor.org/support/ links to:
http://docs.kde.org/stable/en/applications/kate/index.html
which gives 404.

I can't find the kate documentation anywhere on the docs site, including the url given in bug 292115
They're not under: https://docs.kde.org/development/en/applications/ for example (nor any of the devel branch, just as stable; search just leads to other apps which mention kate.)

I wrote up some intro docs for kate here: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-973046.html
That thread (over several posts, more on the second page) links to the same kate docs site as the official page, numerous times, but all the urls are now broken. I'd just like to know how I can correct them.

Thanks,
steveL.

The documentation is available in the shipped packages, unfortunately the current structure of the generation system of the online documentation requires some changes.

The engine used to generate the docs website has been changed. Now all active branches are tracked. Regarding this specific case, Kate documentation can be reached from the relative module:

https://docs.kde.org/index.php?language=en&package=applications

or directly from:
https://docs.kde.org/index.php?application=kate&language=en
