Joined an XMPP groupchat on slack, and it worked

The group chat appeared as a contact "not in my list"
I added the chat room to the contact list, and it was ok.
I then moved it to a group.

After disconnecting the network, I lost the chat rooms from the contact list, and I`m not seeing any more messages.

I was expecting some notification about what happened, the contacts to remain in the list, and to be automatically reconnected.

missed a detail: when the connection is re-established, I get the following error:

Unable to retrieve the list of chat rooms.


that`s when the chatroms disappear from the contact list, as well.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
