It would be nice that if we can translate strings from a Pootle server.
There is a good API for Pootle you can find here: http://docs.translatehouse.org/projects/pootle/en/latest/api/index.html#enabling-the-pootle-api
It is a big task, yes, But it may be very useful to translators.

Do you still find this necessary? I think Weblate is more popular these days (9 years later).

Pootle is not actively maintained and was last released 8 years ago, so I'm closing this request.
