Description jack_sprat 2014-12-10 10:07:59 UTC
I often work with groups of documents, which I cross-refer between.
Currently, I just keep these all open on a separate desktop, and KDE restores them between sessions.
However, I can't close these multi-tab sessions and restore them.
I would like to be able to do this, i.e. restore a specific (named) multi-tab session.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open multiple documents
2. use 'Attach as tab to...' to combine all documents as single Okular instance
3. close Okular
4. re-open Okular
5. can't re-open multi-tab session

This could be implemented in a similar fashion to the Session Chooser in Kate

I don't believe this is a duplicate of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=336074, which seems to refer to a single instance, not to saving (and managing) named sessions.

Has there been any advances on this feature? It would be extremely helpful for those of us that open multiple documents to work at once.
