Description Ragnar Thomsen 2014-11-27 19:50:39 UTC
The kuiserver5 process does not exit when logging out, causing the session to remain open. I'm using systemd (logind) and sddm. The state of the session in logind is listed as "closing", but it never actually closes. After several logouts/logins loginctl reports a bunch of sessions, such as the one seen below.

Output from "loginctl session-status c13":
c13 - <username> (1000)
Since: Tue 2014-11-25 19:03:38 CET; 2 days ago

         Display: :0
Service: sddm; type x11; class user
         Desktop: KDE
           State: closing
            Unit: session-c13.scope
                  └─18115 /opt/kde5/bin/kuiserver5

If it's the bug I think it is, this was fixed in 5.1.2
Comment 2 Ragnar Thomsen 2014-12-01 12:43:38 UTC
Ok, will test with 5.1.2 when it gets released and re-open bug if unresolved.
Comment 3 Ragnar Thomsen 2014-12-21 09:25:39 UTC
This unfortunately still happens with plasma 5.1.2 and sddm 0.11.0.

I can also reproduce this, and I think due to this my notifications applet is not working.. I have some ugly notifications from somewhere...
Comment 5 Ragnar Thomsen 2015-02-17 19:11:43 UTC
Still happens in plasma 5.2.0.
Comment 6 Paolo Pedroni 2015-02-18 10:35:45 UTC
Same for me with plasma 5.2.0, I don't seem to have problems with notifications, though.
