a black screen appears instead of the default white background when i create a new document or open any file when i draw n it nothing happens but in the preview on the right in the layers tab every thing i d shows there correctly .
but the stable version works fine

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open the program
2.Create or open any kind of documents
3.

Actual Results:  
a black screen appears instead of the default white background

Expected Results:  
the default white background

Hi Islam,

Which graphics card do you have? I have seen the same problem on a recent Ultrabook with a broadwell chipset, but I haven't got a fix yet... (Except for disabling OpenGL).

i have Intel® HD Graphics 4400 but i had the  same bug on another computer with amd card

It might reveal something about why we have black
canvas in some circumstances.

There is something i've just realised in krita the stable version that i'm working on the openGL option in the settings is not active and when i activate it ,it does the same bug as the 2.9 version

Yes -- it probably is a change in the intel opengl drivers that breaks krita :-(
