Description Alex Loes 2014-11-26 07:38:50 UTC
I use the print Assistant from the kipi plugins. When I choose a picture bigger than 5MB (the real size I doesn't know), no preview is showed. How can I choose the maximum size of images to be previewed, like in Dolphin?
I also like to write free text on a ffree choosable place on the page.

Thanx for help.

Al

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Choose the kipi plugin Images -> Print Assistant
2. Click on the + symbol to add new images on the list
3. Some files bigger than 5MB will not show a preview.

Actual Results:
no preview on certain bigger images.

Expected Results:
preview all images independant their size or choose the maximum size of images previewed.

I do not know the exact size of the files not being previewed, but 5MB will not be showed.

Please test with digiKam 5.8.0 pre release AppImage Linux bundle to see if problem is reproducible. This version is based on Qt5. You use an older one based on Qt4 (which is not maintained).

Print Creator tool is available in Tools main menu from digiKam.

I tried the tool with many large images (24 Mpx) in JPEG, TIff, or PNG (all files larger than 5Mb), and the problem is not reproducible here.
