Description Kevin Clevenger 2014-11-17 21:10:07 UTC
I need to use a SOCKS proxy that requires username and password. There is no provision in System Settings for entering a proxy username and password. When entering just the proxy hostname and port in System Settings I never get prompted for a username/password. I've also tried user:pass@proxy.host.dom in the SOCKS Proxy field, but the user:pass is removed on exit.

This appears to have been covered in BZ 232626, but like comment #22 notes the username/password fields no longer exist.

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
No facility for entering proxy authentication info

Expected Results:
Username and password fields for entering proxy authentication info

F20 current, KDE version 4.14.2 (there is no 4.14 in the Version selector above)

Thanks for the report Kevin. I've just tested against systemsettings 5.20.2 and I can't reproduce this issue.

Can you please test and confirm if this issue is still occurring or if this bug report can be marked as resolved. I'm setting status to "needsinfo" pending your response, please change back to "reported" or "resolved" when you respond, thanks.
