Attachments: Mail with encrypted attachment
...and how it is decoded

Description Axel Braun 2014-10-21 19:10:04 UTC
Receive a mail with several attachments (encrypted as well) and choose right mouse-button -> Save attachments.
Result: It saves a file 'encrypted.asc' instead of the (decrypted) attachments. Each attachment has to be selected individually :-(

Reproducible: Always

On my todo.

This bug has never been confirmed for a KDE PIM version that is based on KDE Frameworks (5.x). Those versions differ significantly from the old 4.x series. Therefore, I plan to close it in around two or three months. In the meantime, it is set to WAITINGFORINFO to give reporters the oportunity to check if it is still valid. As soon as someone confirms it for a recent version (at least 5.1, ideally even more recent), I'll gladly reopen it.

Please understand that we lack the manpower to triage bugs reported for versions almost two years beyond their end of life.

Current situation (KMail 5.5.2) The encrypted attachement to an encrypted mail is saved as 'unnamed' in /tmp/messageviewer.xxx
Quite useless that way

Thank you for reporting this issue in KDE software. As it has been a while since this issue was reported, can we please ask you to see if you can reproduce the issue with a recent software version?

If you can reproduce the issue, please change the status to "REPORTED" when replying. Thank you!
