Description eduardelriceam 2014-10-20 21:55:18 UTC
I've been using krita for drawing a little comic for around 4 months now, and I do the text on the comic with a brush stroke, to put an outline in the text I follow the next procedure:
1. Create a new layer for the text
2. Do the text
3. Pick a transparent area with select similar colors and Invert the selection
4. in the select menu>grow, then grow selection 3px
5. Create a new layer bellow
6. using the fill tool, fill out the selection
7. reduce selection by 1 px,
8. Invert the selection and using a smudge brush on the sharp ends

and if I make a typo I have to redo the whole procedure, therefore I would like to see a filter/plugin/layereffect to help me out on this

Reproducible: Always

The newer versions of Krita have layer effects feature,
Can you please check if they work for you.

There is a stroke filter in the layer effects dialog box.
and the stroke updates as you draw on the layer.
