Krita does this: When Eraser Mode is ON, Shift + Clicking on the canvas picks up a color and automatically resets Painting mode to Normal, the Eraser Button would reset as well. Meanwhile in 2.9 alpha, the Eraser Mode button keeps being highlighted after such reset until you press E twice or click on the button to reset it properly.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new document
2. Use brush tool
3. Press E to toggle Eraser Mode ON, Eraser Button is highlighted
4. Shift + Click to pick up a color
5. Now Brush Mode has been reset to Normal, but the Eraser Button is still being highlighted

Actual Results:  
Eraser Mode Button does not reset after Shift + Clicking with Eraser Mode was ON

Expected Results:  
Eraser Mode Button resets properly after Shift + Clicking with Eraser Mode was ON

Yes, I can confirm this issue.

This is fixed with the new eraser method.
