Sentry Crash Report:

Description Uwe Dippel 2014-10-17 08:49:43 UTC
I happen to have a Desktop Effect, 'Present Windows' on a screen edge.
When I ask ksnapshot to snap a rectangular region after n seconds, and happen to hit the right screen edge, 'Present Windows' comes into effect. Then the instructions appear in the left top area ("... Enter ... Esc ..."), but neither is actually accepted. It is possible to select a rectangular region, though, and even to press 'Enter' or 'Esc'; but neither works. So the captured picture is not shown ('Enter'), neither does it return to the normal desktop respectively ksnapshot. There is actually no way out of it, except Ctrl-Alt-Backspace/F2; logon on the command line and then sudo reboot.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Activate some Desktop effects while waiting for the screenshot
2.
3.

Actual Results:
No way out of taking a screenshot, if you take one or not; you end in an endless loop

Expected Results:
A normal way out of the snapshot modus

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years and I will be closing this bug. Spectacle is the replacement for ksnapshot now. Please test again and file a new bug for Spectacle if you still have issues. Thank you!
