I updated the akonadi-server package to version 1.12.1-r1 from the Gentoo repo. After rebooting the akonadi-server refuses to start. I use an internal MySql Server as a database backend. Starting the akonadi sever from a console using "akonadictl start" shows that creating the table akonadi.parttable fails.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Try to start akonadi-server or any PIM application that uses it

Expected Results:  
Akonadi server should start normally.

I have this exact same problem.

I thought it may be due to myisam, but mine are all innodb.

I haven't been able to get people's contact info from Kaddressbook for the last few months, and it is frustrating.

Any suggestions on how I can extract the contact info? I need this badly!

This bug has only been reported for versions older than KDEPIM 4.14 (at most akonadi-1.3). Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a recent version of akonadi (part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
