When I wrote this report, I only had the old "Display" module installed. Now I installed kscreen-1.0.71 and libkscreen-1.0.5. Using kscreen I no longer experience the extended desktop problem, though I would wait a few days before closing the report as the problem with the old Display module did not happen 100% of the time. I have reassigned to old krandr component, but expect those to be closed as unmaintained. As it should be - no point wasting time on obsolete software. I've hooked up an external display using kscreen many times now and haven't experienced this bug a single time. :) Thanks for reporting your bug. Since reporting Krandr has since been replaced by KScreen. It is available in the Plasma 4 series, and is default in Plasma 5 onwards. I hope this solves your issue. If you still have a problem after upgrading please reopen a new bug under kscreen. Thanks |
