attempted to import bookmarks from another computer running the identical version of KDE and Konqueror.
bookmarks were exported as .html file, the only version allowed
when importing said file on second computer, bookmarks do not show up, blank bookmark editor, irrespective of whether imported as new bookmarks or replace, etc.

Reproducible: Always




Konqueror does not export bookmarks as KDE bookmarks, consequently, cannot import KDE bookmarks into Konqueror on another computer running Linux and Konqueror.
Bookmarks are exported as a .html file, which Firefox is able to import but loses folders.
KDE seemingly cannot import a file exported from the same version of Konqueror running on another system.
This has been a problem for many years.

I have seen this problem also. If I imprort from SeaMonkey as html.  They sometimes show up but only the actual name and url. The folder structure is totally unavailable. My casenormally would be openSUSE 13.1 exported so I can import it to my new openSUSE 13.2. Last export I did from 13.1 KDE 4.14.0 only had on item with the url. Everything else was just the name of the bookmark.

I am running into the same problem when trying to import Firefox bookmarks exported into an html file. The Konqueror import function does only import a few of the numerous bookmarks. The folder structure reproduces quite poorly and incompletely.
In order to avoid frustration for users I think it is better to remove this feature as long as it is not working properly.
