After a system update, digikam crashes at startup.  
Application: digikam (4.3.0)
KDE Platform Version: 4.13.3
Qt Version: 4.8.6
Operating System: Linux 3.13.0-36-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS

I tried to run digikam but after showing the splash screen it did open the main screen and did crash by itself.

I had reloaded and just tried to run digikam.  No other apps were running other than the systme's.

The crash can be reproduced every time. yes

I have tried to install many times the backtrace code but it never  went through..?

Steps to Reproduce:
1.boot
2.login
3.run digikam >> crash
everything else works normally


Expected Results:  
accessing my collections of albums and photos

I think it is because the system update..  maybe wrong

Run digiKam in gdb to get a backtrace, as explained here :

With 5.0.0 stable release, this problem is not reproducible.
I close this file now. Don't hesitate to reopen if necessary.
