(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: konsole
Version: KDE 2.2.1
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
Compiler: Not Specified
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

Konsole is missing keyboard accelerators for the menu at least in the german translation.

It would be nice to have the option to disable the popup menu on right mouse click. When it is disabled right mouse click should be used to extend a selection like xterm does.

The keys shift-left and shift-right should have an equivalent in the menu. The menu item should clearly indicate that shift-left/right can be used. Although this is in the documentation it is tedious to search for it.

Changes in preferences should be saved immediately the menu item to save them should disappear.

With intention or how should programs get Alt-s if it's for "Settings"?

In the menu you can switch sessions in Sessions menu (in 2.2.x) no need
to introduce unnecessary entries for those who can't read documentation.

You understand the difference between change settings for current session
and make the settings of current settings default for new sessions yes?

Hello Stephan,

just looked at this (well more precisely Bug 56224, which is not really
covered by this bug report but okay) again today.

And there is indeed a problem to do Wish 56224 via keys or with the
mouse. Would it be possible to extent the RMB menu with e.g. "set Top Marker"
and "Set Bottom Marker". which simulate xterm's behaviour. This might even
be better than xterm's RMB amd LMB approach :)

HEAD has now "Set Selection End" in right mouse button menu.
