Example of the grey »View difference« button with one changed file
Now it behaves like this: when you have a couple of files open and only one is modified through some other editor, Kate opens the dialog when you click on the tab of the modified file. View difference is immediately clickable. Martin: are you happy with this situation, or do you think it should pop up the dialog immediately when focusing on Kate and not only when focusing on the tab of the modified file? I think this is a very good solution: Kate is not intrusive and writing to another file does not get interrupted. Otherwise, e.g. log files would be really annoying. Can you add the version that contains the new behaviour? Oops, sorry for not mentioning the version: it is 16.04.2 I'll set the status to WFM as we don't know the history of the change :) |
