Sentry Crash Report:

Description Volker Kuhlmann 2014-09-03 20:54:56 UTC
Calendar events entered for the day before daylight saving starts are shown wrong by 1 hour. The wrong display is in the korganiser calendar view, the event summary in the smaller window (updated when single-clicking the calendar event), and the panel's clock/calendar (shown when clicking the clock display).
When editing the event again the time is shown correctly, it is also stored correctly in the .ics file.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set system to time zone Pacific/Auckland (New Zealand).
2. Enter calendar events in korganiser for 26, 27, 28 Sep 2014 at 13:00-14:00.
3.

Actual Results:
Events are shown 13:00-14:00 for 26, 28 Sep, and 12:00-13:00(!!!) for 27 Sep 2014.

Expected Results:
Time shown as entered!

New Zealand switches to daylight saving in the early hours of 28 Sep 2014.

Looks like some time zone adjustment is applied to the wrong time period. It kind of makes a paper calendar have a huge advantage over KDE when trying to get to important things at the right time...

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of korganizer (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
