Attachments: the script to start firefox with different KDEHOME
firefox.desktop file that calls the script

Description Till Schäfer 2014-08-31 20:21:31 UTC
When launching a program with a different $KDEHOME than the default env KDEHOME from Kickoff / over a .desktop file, the application is always launched with the default env KDEHOME and not with the specified one.

Background: I have written a small script to start firefox with a different kde-environment in order to change the color scheme to a light one, becuase the firefox does not play well with dark themes.
If i launch the script from a terminal, firefox is launched with the light color scheme, but if i call the script from a .desktop file, it starts with my default dark theme.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. call the script from a .desktop file

the script to start firefox with different KDEHOME

the script does also start firefox as a single instance only, but this works as intended.

AFAIK, $KDEHOME is no longer useful in kde 5 days. Thus, I am closing the bug.
