xp sound works fine aswell as mic! on linux mint 17 kde mic dosnt work no matter what settings i change / use / reset! please sort this out i do not use sorround (4 or 4) i use analogue input and output and that option i9s not available!!!!!

What application are you trying to use to record sound?
