Sentry Crash Report:

Description Petter Reinholdtsen 2014-08-21 07:36:51 UTC
I got the idea today to show the weather status using the web pages from
http://www.yr.no/ as the screen saver image on a computer in my living room, to
allow us to quickly check the weather in the morning.

http://superuser.com/questions/120503/use-a-web-page-as-screensaver-linux show
that I am not the only one with this urge.

But at the moment there is on screen saver module available to show a web page.
Can you add one? I would like to be able to provide it with the URL (or a set of URLs), and have it show the pages in sequence or in random order.

The screen locker architecture changed with Plasma 5. The classic screen savers are no longer supported. The 4.x series won't see any further feature development, so this feature request won't be implemented as it doesn't apply to our current version any more. In particular web access from the screen locker is explicitly disabled in the lock screen as it's a security risk (see https://www.kde.org/info/security/advisory-20150122-1.txt).

I want to thank you for your feature suggestion and I'm sorry that we were not able to provide the requested feature before we retired the affected component.
