You've obviously put a lot of effort into your testing/evaluation! Just one point to bear in mind, well two actually. We're totally dependant on volounteers, and there is a lot going on at the moment. So, don't expect any changes any time soon. I have experience coding C++, and I'd be willing to work on some of these issues. I read the info on http://kmymoney2.sourceforge.net/kde4/online-manual/installation.fromsource.html but it seems that is intended for the Linux platform. I googled a bit and was unable to find instructions for how to setup the development environment for MS Visual Studio. Is it possible to build the program in that environment, or must it be cross-compiled on a Linux platform? Have a look at http://kmymoney2.sourceforge.net/windows-install.html for starters. You'll get the choice either to install the binaries or the source, which may be compiled under Linux. I believe MS Visual Studio may be used, but others know more than I, and I'm sure will chip in. Allan Unfortunately, building under Windows is non-trivial. I have tried a few times, and not succeeded. We probably need to wait for a response from Cristian, who builds the standalone KMM installer for Windows. However, a good place to start would be windows.kde.org. |
