Actually once it showed recent applications along with two document categories and then plasmashell crashed.

Thanks for the report!

So the problem is that there are multiple entries "Applications" in the Recently Used tab. I've updated the bug title to that effect.

It looks like the sorting is wrong there, perhaps something deeper in the model. I'm also seeing that applications are not reliably added to the Recently Used, which could be the same, or yet another bug. Needs investigation.

After updating plasma I can reproduce this problem anymore, so I am closing th bug.
