Like is said in bug 336220 I find this behaviour a bit illogical and it's rather inconsistent with how the rest of plasma presents itself.

I'm experiencing the same here. Looks like the lower frame border should be hidden like Ivan mentions in bug 336220. That or position the widget explorer to avoid the overlap. As it is appears unintentional.
