Since a few weeks, KMail does not GPG sign automatically anymore and I did not find the option for that anymore.

Can I find it somewhere else?

Signing automatically is my basic precaution and I really need it.

Reproducible: Always

go into KMail's settings, under the Identities.
for each identity you want to always sign:
  modify that identity
  select the Cryptography tab
check the box for "automatically sign messages"

hope that helps

It works - thank you! It just was an annoyance, because my setting got lost and I had to reenable it (and first find out where to enable it).
