Soon after it's started, muon-updater shows the available updates for a split second, then clears the window while it does whatever processing it needs to, before finally displaying the updates and awaiting user action.

This is annoying. I think muon-updater should either:

(i) Not clear the window, and continue to display the updates while it does its processing; or
(ii) Not display the updates until it's finally ready to do so.

I can confirm this. This is BTW no "wish", as it is clearly doing something wrong: muon-updater clearly shows the available updates for a split of a second (having them already available!), and THEN clearing the display again and loading them another time? The time loading them after the short glimple is very long (about 6 seconds on my i7) - what exactly does muon there?

I can see this is annoying, but I haven't seen such behavior lately. Can somebody confirm it still happens? (preferably on Muon from Plasma 5.2)

It's still happening in Kubuntu 14.10 with KDE 4.14.2 and Plasma 4.

This particular problem doesn't happen with Plasma 5. (There are now different problems, of course...)

The bug was never resolved in Plasma 4, as far as I know, but it's no longer relevant.
