The current "Shape_Fill" and "Shape_smooth" brush are very powerful brushes but are crippling to use due to the shape filling with colour during the drawing process. If the Fill brush could draw a path and then fill the shape on releasing the mouse/tablet we would have a far more useful brush. As it stands you have to use the "Draw a freehand path" tool as it does exactly that however: it can not be saved as a preset and needs setting up everytime you open Krita. So basically make the "fill" brush operate like the "Draw a freehand path" tool. Or add the ability to make other tools save as presets like brushes do.

Also if we had the ability to add a gradient to the fill after releasing the mouse would also be very useful. This can currently be done with "Select area by outline" and the "gradient" tool however it becomes a hotkey frenzy and would be more productive in one tool.

The url supplied is an example of another program that demonstrates this. Currently TVpaint and Manga studio are the only other software programs that offer this functionality.
