Description popanz 2014-05-20 18:47:58 UTC
Whenever i disable history and then try to open a folder it take nearly a minute until gwenview opens the folder and I can browse the files.
With enabled history all i quick and responsive.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open gwenview
2. disable history
3.restart gwenview
4. open a folder
Actual Results:
gwenview hangs for 40-50 seconds. Then you can work as usual.

Expected Results:
the folder should be opened immediately.

The bug is caused by the setting to have the Menubar in Title Bar Button.
When I set the Menu to be in application all is fine.

Not only gwenview is affected by this bug but also ark, which also takes ages to open archives.

Interesting bug. Can't reproduce with Gwenview, KWin, and Plasma from git master. please leave a comment if you can still reproduce this with more recent software.

@Nate Graham
In Plasma5 there is no Option have the Menubar in Title Bar Button. So nothing to test.

Sure there is: System Settings > Application Style > Widget Style > Fine Tuning > Menubar style

Holy Moly! Was it always there?
Well nice to see that the option is there in Plasma 5.
And no, no problems anymore.
