When clicking Quassel systray icon on openbox or kwin 4, the window is opened or closed depending on its current state.

In kwin 5, the window remains opened. This behaviour does not affect every app with a system tray: for example, both qbittorrent and bitcoin-qt whose behaviour is identical to quassel are not bugged on kwin 5.

what are you using as a system tray implementation? The question is whether 
that's an xembed window or a StatusNotifier.

I'm using lxqt-panel as a systray. I'm also noting that bitcoin-qt and qbittorrent both close the window when minimizing, while quassel just minimizes itself, so the implementation is different.

This issue report is quite old. Can you please confirm, that it still persists with KDE 5.23?
