sometimes when you type something in the terminal view you get weird spacing, like the cursor appears 3 spaces after the character just typed.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. type in the terminal view
2.
3.
Actual Results:  
odd spacing

Expected Results:  
no extra spaces between character just typed and cursor

It looks like this may be related to proportional fonts. I changed to a monospace font and the weird spacing seems to be gone.

Indeed, Konsole requires a monospaced font. Can you remember if you changed the configuration file manually?

I'm pretty sure I haven't manually changed any of the config files for KF5.
