Description Jamie Smith 2014-05-08 05:46:10 UTC
Sometimes the last now playing status message shows up as the custom status message without any media players playing. Often this happens at logon.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1.logout with a running media player
2.log back in
3.hover the presence applet
Actual Results:
The presence is set to the last known now playing status message without any media player running.

Expected Results:
The status message should be the last user-set status message.

This has also been seen with a presence plugin activated where the status message also gets written to disk as the user-set presence when the machine was under heavy load.

Also occurs when the kded module is replaced while a plugin is running, e.g. during an update. This is not acceptable, and may require a solution involving more parts of kde telepathy.

This mostly looks like a regression caused by 9b8f17433a7b14b256c1eb9272186c0f00ab416f.

There is an open bug with patch now on FreeDesktop bugzilla for TelepathyQT. The URL is https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92153.
