Description Dan Mossor 2014-05-06 19:12:41 UTC
When opening the SystemSetting application in KDE 4.12+, under Network and Connections is "Sharing". When you open this setting, it turns out to be asking for credentials to use when browsing SMB shares, not to enable or configure sharing of system resources.

Suggest renaming that setting to "SMB Browsing" or something similar to avoid the confusion caused when users open that to try and enable file or printer sharing.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open System Settings to enable sharing of system resources.
2. Find "Sharing" under "Network and Connections".
3. See no options to share anything.
Actual Results:
Described above.

Expected Results:
When a user clicks on a setting labeled "Sharing", they expect to be setting up the sharing of files or printers on the system.

Qt: 4.8.6
KDE Development Platform: 4.12.5
KDE Control Module: 4.12.4
