Can you define what you mean with "won't respond"? Does it crash? Do nothing? Hang forever? If you can provide the information requested in comment #1, please add it. To further investigate this issue, KDE developers need the information requested in comment #1. If you can provide it, or need help with finding that information, please add a comment. The linked document displayed instantly, but the server was quite slow to deliver, so it needed some seconds to load. The problem is hang forever (at least 10 minutes) however in newest versions of okular in ubuntu 14.04 I found this problem fixed. User reports it now works I have a similar problem. I'm using fedora 20 and Okular hangs for +- 1 minute when opening PDFs of books with a cover image, like the Debian Administrator's Handbook¹. To make things worse, Okular hangs again every time I try to scroll the book. With Evince the same PDF books works flawlessly. ¹ http://debian-handbook.info/download/stable/debian-handbook.pdf Téssio your problem is https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=334708 (In reply to Albert Astals Cid from comment #7) > Téssio your problem is https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=334708 It's true. I'm using a notebook, and removing my work's printer at KDE's System Settings > Printers makes the problem disapears. However, I think Okular shoud not care about my printer unless I try to print something first.. |
