Please open http://localhost:631/ Printers tab, then select your printer in the list. Using the Maintenance button, you can try to print a test page. If that does not work, your printer is not configured correctly. You should ask in a CUPS related forum how to debug this. Please always reply using the web form. Since I am out of ideas (other than suggesting to try newer versions of software - what you use is really outdated), lets see if print-manager developers understand the error messages. Pasting your reply here: Hello Christoph: In Maintenance button: The test page has made it perfectly. But I can not print my documents. Idle: *"/usr/lib/cups/filter/foomatic-rip failed"* Unsupported format 'application/vnd.cups-command'! My operating system is: GNOME version 2.30.2 Ubuntu June 25, 2010 This is odd, if you are using GNOME why ask here in KDE? Apart from that you have a CUPS problem, which is not related to KDE or GNOME, if the CUPS filter failed you need to get help from CUPS devs or the devs of this foomatic filter. and really a 4 years old system isn't likely to be supported any more. |
