The selection operation works, but on Apple OS X the rubber-band rectangle is indeed not properly displayed. This is on my list of things to fix in Palapeli 2.0 (with KDE release 4.13). In Palapeli 2.0, the pieces that are selected during rubber-banding are always highlighted as you go, but in Palapeli 1.2 highlighting depends on whether the "Draw shadows" Preference is on. This problem is related to non-use of Qt raster graphics in MacPorts (as at April 2014). It was still there after I installed qt4-mac+raster and re-installed all my KDE packages. It disappeared if I started Palapeli from a command-line, either with 'export QT_GRAPHICSSYSTEM=raster' and 'open /Applications/MacPorts/KDE4/palapeli.app' OR (in a new window and Shell) with 'open /Applications/MacPorts/KDE4/palapeli.app --args -graphicssystem raster'. I am continuing to investigate this behavior. Thank you for the bug report. As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists. If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved. Rubber-banding works OK now on Apple OSX. I think this was fixed in a patch to the MacPorts builds, currently based on Qt4 and KDE4 libraries. Again it has no relevance to current releases of KDE Community software. |
