None of the search options are saved. It was not coded that way. *** Bug 339012 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Can the code get changed to make this setting saved? I usually find it very annoying to search from the bottom up, and changing it every time I open a konsole window is tedious ... Thanks in advance. Yes I agree the setting should be saved - it wasn't code to do that when added. Obviously it would be better to provide a patch than wait for someone to code it. I've created this review[1] including a patch that adds configuration options to set the default search settings in konsole.
