After connecting Kopete to Skype, all of my Skype groups disappeared (except for the 6 default groups that can't be deleted). I had hundreds of Skype contacts organized into dozens of groups. Now I have to organize them all over again.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create custom contact groups in Skype.
2. Add Skype account into Kopete.
Actual Results:  
All custom Skype contact groups are permanently wiped out of Skype.

Expected Results:  
Custom Skype contact groups are imported into and used in Kopete.

I uninstalled it before checking the version number. But it was the version that the (Ubuntu) Mint software manager provides.

I know it isn't major for people who don't have custom groups. For those who do, this is major!

I am not currently using Kopete. Someone who is should give it a quick test. The steps to reproduce are simple enough. Wow that was over 4.5 years ago...
