Hi, thanks for the great viewer. 

Okular reads out document information and displays it under properties (Okular::DocumentInfo). It would be nice if it was possible to edit the document metadata, and save it back to the document.

For PDFs (and possibly other formats), there are two places to store meta information: In its document info node, and (starting from version 1.4) in a XMP metadata node, which allows for more entries, and is mandated by the ISO standards for PDFs. The info and XMP node should comply about what is written in Title, and the other properties.

Just wanted to add my 2 cents on this.
I have been looking in okular where I can edit the metadata before understanding that it is not possible at the moment. Okular is such a great document reader that I was convinced that editing the metadata was possible....
The metadata are editable using exiftool, through the command line, it would be nice if this was possible through okular: the field in the property dialog should be editable. Now I understand that okular is a "viewer" but because there is no simple way to edit pdf metadata through the gui under kde, at least to my knowledge", it would be nice if okular could do it.

This wish should be merged with Bug 377460.

Note, there is also a problem with XMP tags being not displayed anywhere. It is tracked as Bug 385015.
