I can confirm this. If there are no partitions the new hard disk isn't listed in the device list. However if I use fdisk to add a partition then partitionmanager lists the hard disk. This is a bug in Solid udisks2 backend. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 311408 *** |
Created attachment 85577 [details] screenshot I just wired a brand new 3To disk, and it isn't display in devices list in KDE Partition Manager. Look at the attached screenshot. However, the new disk is connected and recognise as /dev/sda. # fdisk -l Disk /dev/sda: 2,7 TiB, 3000592982016 bytes, 5860533168 sectors Unités : secteur de 1 × 512 = 512 octets Taille de secteur (logique / physique) : 512 octets / 4096 octets taille d'E/S (minimale / optimale) : 4096 octets / 4096 octets I hope it helps.
