I just wired a brand new 3To disk, and it isn't display in devices list in KDE Partition Manager. Look at the attached screenshot.

However, the new disk is connected and recognise as /dev/sda.

# fdisk -l
Disk /dev/sda: 2,7 TiB, 3000592982016 bytes, 5860533168 sectors
Unités : secteur de 1 × 512 = 512 octets
Taille de secteur (logique / physique) : 512 octets / 4096 octets
taille d'E/S (minimale / optimale) : 4096 octets / 4096 octets

I hope it helps.

I can confirm this.
If there are no partitions the new hard disk isn't listed in the device list. However if I use fdisk to add a partition then partitionmanager lists the hard disk.

This is a bug in Solid udisks2 backend.
