currently the only way (that I found) to activate/deactivate assistant painting is pressing the checkbox in the brush tool options.

It would be neat to have a quicker way to turn on and off snapping to assistants.

some folks are asking for shift snap to angles, like photoshop or SAI. Assistants are already capable of snapping to degrees (with a short setup). The only thing missing is a painless way to toggle into assistant mode. Keeping in mind that with a few extra assistants it could very well be a powerful alternative.

I propose using a shortcut key to toggle on and of, as the eraser mode works.
Adding a button in the brushes and stuff bar (not shown by default) would be a nice addition for the people who need a visual reminder.

Reproducible: Always

On / off snap to assistant has shortcut Ctrl + Shift + L. This isn't nowhere mention... Even in: https://krita.org/item/krita-2-9-beta-2-is-out/ There is only:

"Rishabh Saxena
Add a shortcut to toggle the assistants on and off"

And On / off snap to assistant (shortcut Ctrl + Shift + L) doesn't listed at "Configure Shortcuts" manager window !
